To Knit or Knot to Knit?

What Shakespeare play features an Asp? Anyone?  I've had a long week of keeping up my crossword streak, paying people with other people's money and keeping up, barely, with the housework.

There was a moment where gross toilet overflow threatened, and I literally had to bail shitty water out of the toilet. It got ugly, but not as ugly as it could have got.  I was traumatized and couldn't cook for the rest of the week.

Here, I hope, is a photo of me socializing.  Sorta. This is in a secret, undisclosed location.

I finished a sweater this week, and showed it off to these knitting ladies. I appreciate them and their praise - I pretty much live for it. I have more unfinished projects to complete, and new ones to start. I bought a coffee and the lady at the counter called me sir. We had a laugh about her mistake. I'm glad I'm not the only one who does that.

Some of the knitters are saying no to any in-person get-togethers. Some are willing to venture out. We had a Wednesday afternoon meeting in the Church, and the pastor said we can't come back for a few weeks, while COVID-19 blasts through our town in record numbers. There's a COSTCO outbreak rumoured, but I can't find official confirmation. I am staying away from the grocery store. I'll just order take-out from places I feel comfortable with. I went to order at a Broken Angel food cart, and the chef was standing outside the cart without a mask on. I ordered anyway. I brought it home and put eggs on it.  We have to eat.

In other news about inappropriate exposure to the outside world, I went to the dentist this week, and the eye doctor dispensed my glasses in the 'Foray,' because I disclosed that someone I sleep with has a coworker whose roommate tested posi for covi. The dentist was ok extracting tartar from my mouth but the eye doctor wouldn't let me inside the office. They basically shoved glasses at me and said, "Get lost, you have no balance."  Thanks, I'll take it!

My little violinist is just that much closer to finishing Suzuki book 1. She could probably finish this week. Gogogo I!  Play that Gavotte by Gosick. Here you go. I won't go into the blood, sweat and tears that have gone into getting this far. Both of us have struggled. It is good for us. I believe nothing good comes without effort.

She also built her own webiste this week. I'm proud of her. Having th gumption to start your own business - I wish I had that. The trick is to follow through on the actual work, of course.

Here is my little bread loaf. For those who know that my culiniry skills are confined to opening packages, you should be impressed.
